About Us: Library Access

CCEDL Network Account

Continuing Education (CCEDL) students can access Elizabethtown College's High Library resources both in person and online. Library hours, which change seasonally, are available by clicking here.

To access the High Library’s electronic databases and resources,  go to http://www.etown.edu/library (or select it from the quick clicks menu on the Elizabethtown home page/Campus Community).  From  there, look to the top left side of the page and click on:

Database access from
outside E-town network

You will then be prompted to supply your User ID and Password.  Every student who is actively taking classes will receive a User ID and Password.  This is also referred to as your network account. You will receive your network account access numbers through the U.S. mail. If you have questions on this, contact your academic advisor for assistance. Your network account will allow you access to the Elizabethtown main campus public lab computers, student network services, and the databases in the High Library system.

Once you have entered your User ID and password, you will be returned to the original library access page you started from.  Even though it looks the same, you now have access to the resources on the site.  You can then select a database, search the catalog or whatever else you need to do.  If you encounter access or database problems, contact Joan Quinn, quinnjm@etown.edu or 717-361-1457.  If you have problems with your User ID or password, please contact the CCEDL office at 717-361-1411 or 1-800-877-2694 or your academic advisor.

PLEASE NOTE: If this is your first class through Elizabethtown College, your network account will not be activated until the beginning of the first week of the session when your class begins.
