About Us: Library Access

CCEDL Network Account

Every student who is actively taking classes will receive a network account. This account will allow you access to any computer on the Elizabethtown College campus as well as access to the databases in the High Library system. The library database system is also accessible off campus. Continuing Education students can access Elizabethtown College's library resources both in person and online. Library hours are available by clicking here.

PLEASE NOTE: If this is your first class through Elizabethtown College, this account will not be activated until the beginning of the first week of the session when the class begins.

User ID/Usernames will be the last name followed by the first initial. In the event of a duplicate or common name, the username would be the last name followed by the first AND middle initial.

Passwords will be EC# followed by the student's college ID number (without the leading zeros). Your student ID number is listed on bills, your degree check sheet, printed schedules, and grade reports. If you do not have your ID number, contact our office at 361-1411 during business hours. Passwords are case sensitive and the "EC" must be typed in uppercase and the # symbol must be included.

For example, if your name is Larry R. Smith and your ID number is 1234567, your User ID and password would be as such:

User ID: smithl
Password: EC#1234567

If an L Smith already existed in the system the Userid and password would be:

User ID: smithlr
Password: EC#1234567

To access the library web page, go to www.etown.edu/library (or select it from the quick clicks menu on the Elizabethtown home page). From there, click on "Database Access from outside Etown network" and then supply your User ID and Password on the log-in screen. You can then select a database, search the catalog or whatever else you need to do. If you encounter access or database problems, contact Joan Quinn, quinnjm@etown.edu or 717-361-1457. However, if you have problems with your User ID or password, please contact the CCEDL office at 717-361-1411 or 1-800-877-2694.
