Current Students: Human Services
The new Human Services online degree program is designed for adults seeking to earn a baccalaureate degree within a flexible, accelerated learning environment.
The Human Services curriculum offers two distinct majors: Bachelor of Science in Human Services, and Bachelor of Science in Human Services – Behavior and Addictions Counseling. Courses will provide broad-based knowledge of the human services field, as well as stimulate a comprehensive understanding of the underlying issues that influence the application of theory and practice in today’s society. The adult learner will study the inter-relationship of issues and the manner in which the various components of the human services function in order to administer services in today’s ever-changing communities.
Learning outcomes are designed to ensure that adult learners can critically examine human services strategies and demonstrate effective communication skills related to implementation and problem solving. The program prepares graduates for a multitude of career opportunities in human services, including behavioral addictions counseling, or further study at the graduate level.
Flexible Options for Adults
All of the major courses are offered online in a five-week accelerated format. Courses in the Liberal Arts Core and General Electives are available in the classroom, online, and blended. You may start your program in any five-week session and proceed through your courses at your own pace.
