Same Great Library, New Look

Same Great Library, New Look

You may have noticed that the High Library’s website got an update in the last month. We’re very excited about this update and would love to share some of the new features with you! In addition to being mobile-device friendly, the website is now more user friendly, making it easier to search and find the information you need.

Quick Search is now featured as the main search bar on the library’s home page. This will let you immediately search across multiple databases and the library catalog to retrieve a wide selection of results. Don’t forget to use the filters that show up along the left side of your results to narrow them into a more manageable and relevant set.

For a more focused search, Databases are individually accessible using the top, dark blue button next to Quick Search. Not sure of which of the 83 databases will best suit your needs? Use the drop down menu above the list to sort the databases by subject.

The Library Catalog can also be searched directly, by clicking on the catalog tab above Quick Search on the home page.

If you need help getting started with your research, click the big, orange button on the home page that says Research Help. This will bring you to a guide with many different tips and tricks to help you through the research process. You can also try one of our subject-specific Research Guides, which can now be found using the button directly below the database link on the home page.

Information about the library, including policies and contact information, is found in the About the Library section. For FAQ and options for reference help, look in the Ask a Librarian section.

We hope you like the new website as much as we do!
