Prospective Students: Getting Started

Congratulations on your decision to continue your education!

Our accelerated degree programs for adult learners provide the greatest flexibility possible so that you can fit school into your busy life. We offer a mix of in-class and online course options. You can earn an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degrees in Accounting, Business Administration, Corporate Communication, Criminal Justice, Human Services, Human Services-Behavioral and Addictions Counseling, or Information Systems.

Starting in January, 2012, the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program will be offered at the Dixon University Center in Harrisburg and at the Conference and Training Center on New Holland Pike in Lancaster. The MBA program will be delivered in six, eight week sessions each year.  Students who take continuous classes can graduate in two years if they come into the program with an undergraduate degree in business.  The program will offer a mix of classroom based, internet based and weekend immersion classes, providing flexibility and varied learning experiences.  As the program grows, more locations may be added.

Your first step in learning about Elizabethtown College is to attend one of the information sessions scheduled at each location monthly, or to meet individually with an admissions counselor.

Our counselors are available to meet with you at any of our four locations (Elizabethtown, Harrisburg, Lancaster and York) on a date and time convenient to you. Evening/after work appointments are available. To contact an admissions counselor:

When you visit with us, we will give you an overview of the accelerated adult degree programs offered by the Edward R. Murphy Center for Continuing Education and Distance Learning at Elizabethtown College. We can assess your transfer work from other academic institutions, as well as work experience that can be evaluated for academic credit, and provide you with a preliminary evaluation for credit into a degree program.

Financial aid is available to adult learners in the accelerated program. Your admissions counselor can discuss the financial aid process with you, and provide you with the application materials you will need to complete to apply for federal and state financial aid.

If your employer provides tuition reimbursement, you may elect to participate in our tuition deferment program, which defers payment following each session for 30 days. Your admissions counselor can provide you with further information about this program as well.

At Elizabethtown College, we are committed to ensuring that starting school is as seamless and stress-free as possible. Call today— it’s time to get started!
